[NA] Transcensions Intro

It is Version 5.3 and NA gets Transcensions, a new form! They are considered to be a form that surpasses both Evolution and Ascension.

Lets run down what Transcensions are!

What Are Transcensions?

Transcensions are a new form for hatcher monsters. They gain unique characteristics, more powerful bump combos and abilities.

In the Japan version, there are a total of 11 Transcensions:
- Agnamut
- Agnamut X
- Hunter King
- Godstriker
- Susanoo
- Mundus
- Royce
- Lin Zi
- Raff
- Hamelin
- Sanada Yukimura (slated for end of May)

The Cost

Getting your monsters to their Transcended form requires a lot of materials.

In terms of Stoans and Sharls, you will need the following:
- 50 Colored Stoans
- 30 Colored Sharls
- 2 Divine Sharls

The final material needed is called Dragon Gems. Some requires 5 of a specific color or 3+2 of 2 different colors. They are available in new Daily Quests in Extreme difficulty (50 stamina). They drop from clear/luck chests and they have a small chance of invading throughout the dungeon, like the Divine Sharl monsters.

Characteristics

With this much of a high cost, there are very unique characteristics that comes with this new form.

2 Ableberries
Transcended monsters are able to wield two ableberries. This increases the utility for them since you can increase their stats with Class Kin berries and have things like Sidekick or Survivor at the same time.

Do note that Ableberry stacking rules still apply to Transcended monsters. For example, you can't have two Sidekicks on the same monster to increase their bump combos twofold.

Powerful "Sub" Bump Combos
Hunter King's Bumps: One Way Laser XL / Poison Spread 16
Transcended monsters also have two bump combos, like Ascended monsters. However, their sub bump combos are the same size and power as main bump combos. Therefore you basically have two main bump combos on the same monster.

2-Level Strike Shots
Transcended monsters have a 2-Level Strike Shot. The first level will have a lower cooldown but deals less damage. The second level has a higher cooldown but is more powerful.

This means that you can choose to forgo a more powerful strike shot depending on the situation at hand. For example, you can use Agnamut's first tier SS (24 CD Meteor SS) to clear mobs instead of dealing big damage to the boss. Or you can use Hunter King's first tier SS (20 CD Wall Bouncing SS) if you are in a small space between the boss and the wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you go straight from the Base (5*) form to Transcension?
No you can't. You have to Transcend from either the Evolution or Ascension of that specific monster. Costs are both the same in either form.

Can you revert Transcension to any of the other forms?
No you can't and there isn't much of a reason to since the Transcension is the outright better form out of all three 6* forms.

Can you raise the Luck of Transcended monsters?
Yes you can. It raises luck from monsters of the same evolution chain, just like the other forms.

Do I have to run 2 separate Temple quests to get the 2 ableberries for my Transcended monster?
No you don't need to. If you get multiple ableberries in a single run, you get to choose the two ableberries you want your Transcended monster to have.

How fast do they come out?
In the JP version, they come out every 2 months. However this does not mean that NA will follow a similar release schedule.

Who is the next Transcended monster?
No one knows. There is no common theme between the current Transcended monsters so it is hard to predict who will be next.

Do you get Divine Sharls from the Dragon Gem Quest?
No you don't. You will have to run the Hard (25 stamina) quest or voucher quests for Divine Sharls. The Dragon Gem quest will drop the Stoans and Sharls pertaining to its element.

On what days do you get Dragon Gems?
They are obtainable throughout Monday to Friday:
Monday = Dark Dragon Gem
Tuesday = Red Dragon Gem
Wednesday = Blue Dragon Gem
Thursday = Green Dragon Gem
Friday = Light Dragon Gem

How hard is the Dragon Gem Quest?
It is relatively easy. It is clearable with 4 max luck monsters. However the Fire, Water, and Wood dungeons have boosted multipliers in terms of element strength/weakness. Normally it is x1.33 but in these dungeons it is x1.5.

What are the drop rates of Dragon Gems?
They are relatively rare. Even a full max luck team will need a couple of runs for one drop. It is comparable of getting a Gold berry with just clear chests and invades. There has been events in JP that will increase the rates.
